City Way Stadium, Rochester, Kent. Speedway
took place 1931 (training) 1932 (open meetings) and a demonstration in
1969 was staged for council officials as part of a planning application to
run in the British League Division 2. Rochester Bombers began their
Division 2 campaign with 2 away matches, only to find that the council had
withdrawn approval to stage speedway at the track so the venue closed
without a proper home meeting, although they did have two more away
meetings.
