Hull Speedway (The Boulevard)
The Boulevard Stadium, Airlie Street, Kingston upon Hull.  This track operated between 1971-1981  The stadium will always be better known as the home of Hull FC.

Dean Wormall says: The signature is Tommy Johansson (my hero at the time).  Out of interest, I got Tommy's autograph as he was going up to the referee's box after a bad decision! That's how much those riders respected the fans and earned the fans respect. I was lucky enough last year at Cardiff to have a pic with Jimmy Mac, still involved in the sport, which is great!

Hi John,  Love the website, and as an ex Hull Vikings fan I took the attached photos (first five) when the Boulevard finally closed as the ground of Hull FC in 2002.  Please feel free to use them if they are of any interest.  Bizarrely, although the speedway had finished 21 years earlier, the Boulevard was briefly re-born as a greyhound track, with the track following the same layout as the speedway track had done.
